Why are we here?

Having taught painting classes at both the John C Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina and the Art Center in Blue Ridge, Georgia, I have met any number of gifted individuals, some of whom have painted for some time and many who are new to the endeavor. I'm always somewhat sad when the classes come to a close and new students (now, new friends) leave to go back home, often a considerable distance from my North Carolina studio.

So............I have decided to start this blog as an attempt to maintain contact with students and friends both near and far..............to keep you up-to-date on what I'm doing from a painting standpoint and, hopefully, to stay in touch with what you are doing as you continue (I hope) on your painting journey. I plan on putting up photos from time to time on what I am working on and welcome any from you as you continue to paint.

Ken, What a Professional easy to use web/blog site. I am so excited to see you have been inspired again to share with us your many talents and new endeavors. I finished my first mural in acrylics can you believe that? Will be in touch. Deb

Hi Ken and Bobbi!
So glad to see this blog so I can see your work for inspiration! I found a copy of the Acrylic Revolution that you mentioned--thanks! It was hard to go back to the "real world" but I have found some time to paint a little. Bobbi, I'll be visiting the museum in Cleveland in 3 wks. Looking forward to seeing your work!
